Pros
Hourly pay is guarenteed. everything except shears and clippers are supplied
Cons
Services a minimal at salons. You have to hustle to make productivity bonuses, and that precludes that there are clients
Advice to Senior Management
Give better hourly pay, keep you productivity bonuses. I'll be productive, the more clients i do the more tip money i'll have
Pros
Pay is fair. Some of the girls I work with are ok. either than that that's all I have.
Cons
Management is AWFUL... Nothing there is fair. It's all about who runs the place and that is it. Anyone else DOES NOT matter..
Advice to Senior Management
Step down and let someone else do it! Someone with ALOT more experience. Someone older that has cooth and doesn't walk around with their nose in the air!! Management is NOT proessional..
Pros
Guaranteed Hourly rate.
Flexible schedules
Training
Individually owned and operated
Concept of good work ethic
Tip money at end of every day
Cons
No room for advancement
Work your butt off for minimum wage
Do not offer a variety of services, only haircutting and possibly perming which is optional.
Pros

Cons
no reconition or appreciation too much greed
Advice to Senior Management
pay attention to those reaching out
Pros
Walking out with money in your pocket from tips, if they are good tips at least.
Cons
You can never get time off and the rules pretty much make it so that Great Clips is your life and that is it.
Advice to Senior Management
Figure something out to allow the staff to have a life.
Pros
Easy to work around my school schedule.
Gained some work experience.
Easy to complete tasks assigned.
Stress free work environment.
Cons
Horrible co-workers bringing all of their personal issues to work.
Minimum wage was not worth the effort put in.
Sometimes it would get really busy and people would get angry with the wait times.
Manger expected you to be 15 minutes early without clocking in.
Pros
IT is close to home and the tips are good.
Located in a shopping area which is convienient for client and staff.
Cons
Managers are required to ask for donations from stores and restaurants for his company picnic to give as prizes to his stylist because he does not want to buy prizes. No vacation. To make more than base pay is highly impossible. Not a flexible work schedual. Understaffed. Work every weekend.
Advice to Senior Management
Tell the owner to pay more and bring back the benefits that were taken away these past few years for example 401k.
Pros
The people I worked with were great. Other than that I have to say it was the worst company I have ever worked for.
Cons
Bad management, overworked, little pay. Owners treated us like work horses. We Weren't allowed breaks, some of the other employees would almost pass out due to not being allowed to take a lunch.
Advice to Senior Management
Standing for 8 hrs a day on a hard surface because your not allowed a mat isn't easy. Treat the employees with respect. If your employees are happy, then your customers are happy.
Pros
Clients Provided, Steady work, Team atmosphere.
Cons
Even with vacation hours, vacations are not allows allowed. Low pay, tops at $10/hr even after 4 years, policies and procedures are not upheld by franchisees unless they need them to be. No bonus', Rules and expectations constantly changing.
Advice to Senior Management
Better off as a stylist. Managers only make about $30 extra a week and you can make that up in tips. Not worth it.
Pros
The Best money you can make
Cons
Nights and weekends and working until 9 pm
Advice to Senior Management
Spend time in the salons before making changes that may not be best for our customers
