    Great company. Great people. Salary, benefits, and bonuses are competitive.

    Cons

    Lots of traveling. Challenging for family life.

    Pros

    Great experiences, the diversity of people, extra ways to make EXTRA money on top of your base pay. And then the tips.

    Cons

    The only thing is closing at 9:00 through the week. It just seems so late and especially if you work over 9:00 and have to be there the next morning.

    Great team, tips, bonuses, training, very busy, , established salon,steady income

    Hard to meet goals set by franchisee, always changing rules, some great clips have bad reputations Strict guidelines

    Advice to Management

    Do not gossip with the staff, maintain a good balance between friendships and professionalism, work hard to meet goals, do not think you are better than your stylist, appreciate all customers.

    Pros

    A franchise business that makes working for a large company feel like a small company. Always customers coming through the door to keep the employees busy.

    It is hard to balance work with home life.

    Flexible schedule, fast paced, no need to build clientele

    Cons

    Later nights, open all weekend, not high end, accepts all competitors coupons, accepts expired coupons,bad work/life balance hair cut sale is ridiculously busy

    Fast paced, great customers, wages, room for growth with company

    For some that can't keep up with the fast pace it might not be their best choice

    I worked at Great Clips full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    I was able to balance my work schedule when started my family. I was able to learn a lot of different haircuts and techniques that really enhanced my skills.

    Cons

    I did not see my franchisee a lot, but when she visited the salon, she was amazing!

    We have a great franchisee who cares about us and cares about the customers rather than just bring in money.

    Cons

    I don't see any cons with great clips, I truly love everything about my job and I wouldn't change a thing!

    Clients provided for you. You get to meet all types of people. If you like to cut hair and show off your artistic ability this us the place to be.

    I like Sunday for family day would prefer not to be open

    I have been working at Great Clips full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    I started at entry level and have worked my way up to being a General Manager. My franchisee is very much a family man with very good values. He makes a point to try to know each and everyone of his employees and to make them feel appreciated for their hard work.

    Cons

    Occasionally stressful. However, it's never long term.
