Hopeful but has the same problems as most companies

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) San Francisco, CA

ProsVery positive attitudes about what work can be like and most of the staff are great! Cool location in the SF Financial District, easy to get to other things located near it and to commute to it.

ConsThey are struggling with possible mergers and creating enough revenue to expand.

Not a Great Place to Work

Disappointing - reality doesn't match what they portray

Senior Consultant (Current Employee) New York, NY

    ProsCasual atmosphere
    Great company mission
Depth of company insights and access to top executives makes influencing possible

ConsFar too much politics and too little integrity/ethics in senior management
No vision or strong leadership for how to leverage pros
Several CEOs in 4-5 years - I think managers think they run the show now (but managers - e.g. AVPs - are too young and inexperienced)
-Don't understand how to be an advisory/consulting firm

Advice to Senior Management-You need to focus less on who you "like" and who is good for helping you carry out your mission
-Senior management needs to get their act together - it's embarrassing to not have people who can articulate, plan and execute a vision!
-You need stricter standards on how managers treat employees - it's very inconsistent and good treatment seems biased towards a certain type of person
-To be a consulting firm, you need products/services, you need to treat consultants with more intelligence, and you need your AVPs and new hires to understand business & strategy so they can talk to clients and develop the right products/services to meet their needs

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

My department is micromanaged completely and employees complain to themselves and afraid to speak truly to their manager

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) San Francisco, CA

ProsGreat snacks, events in other departments

ConsKnowledge sharing is very poor and expectations are truly high when the job requirements does not meet with the needs of the manager and business and no guidance in how to proceed effectively and no trust with the employee although its ironic that they practice it outside for other companies.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease trust employees and their work and offer guidance otherwise don't practice it to other companies if you can't do it within your company departments.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
