    Pros

Great people to work with and for. Also have a great benefit package. Pay was good and plenty of overtime.

    Cons

They should allow for employees who possess a concealed carry license to carry their personal hand gun in the company truck. A lot of times you're in the middle of nowhere and you come across meth labs and shady people and the occasional dead body. There have been company men and others robbed, beaten and killed out in the field from people who don't care about you.

    Advice to Management

Revisit your policies on weapons. You can sit in your office and make all the policies and procedures you want but unless you've been out in the field and seen what I have, your policy on "no weapons" is wrong.

    Pros

Great Benefits and good employees giving their all.

    Cons

Loss of team environment and value of employees visions.

    Advice to Management

Know what is happening at your subsidiary companies. Talk to the employees (real workers) not just the management.

    Pros

This is a wholly owned subsidiary a Fortune Best Company To Work For. They'll treat you well while your working for them. Excellent benefits, bi-annual compensation reviews. Lots of room to grow and move within the company and they also provide an abundance of free training and education.

    Cons

They won't hesitate to terminate you from payroll as soon as its economically expedient. They find creative and deceptive ways to claw back most of the stock grants and 401k match provided. The company is actively looking to market itself under the name Thunder (TOS) to another oilfield service company in order to unlock value for Chesapeake. Could spell bad news for GPOR employees, but good for CHK share holders.

    Advice to Management

Pick better Presidents for your subsidiary companies.
