Pros
-Management does their best to support the mental well-being of their employees
-Time in between calls to do your own thing
-Pay is good
-Benefits are good
-Positive atmosphere
-Nice working space
Cons
-Being in a call-center is never fun
-30 min lunches and strict attendance/tardy policy
-It can get very noisy, not a lot of privacy
Advice to Senior Management
-Offer additional flex-time and work from home opportunities
-Keep up the good work!
Pros
You truly leave your work at the door when you leave for the day.
Great Pay and great 401(k) match
Bonuses start after first year
Cons
In Customer Service role, your hours can change weekly
Adherence to your phone is monitored and very strict...unachievable for many
Little room for advancement unless you're young and male, or a son of a manager.
Pros
Good work/life balance and benefits. Remote working opportunities if you work in the field. God IT department to make remoting easy.
Cons
No clear direction from management on goals. Sales goals do not reflect how incentive comp is paid and often changes. They do not fire incompetent managers so there tends to be a decent amount of turn-over of employees is high. Advancement opportunities is not "what you know" but "who you know".
Advice to Senior Management
Clean house when it comes to entry level field management and set a clear direction with clear sales objectives. Pay employees better (I got a 20% raise going to a competitor) and tie incentive comp to sales goals. Quit putting on a “game face” for clients and treat the employees that interact with those clients better. It will improve morale and client satisfaction.
Pros
Most people there are congenial.
Cons
Traditionally a serious old-boy network.
Advice to Senior Management
increase integrity. need to somehow breach the huge number of layers between upper management and the people who service your customers.
Pros
The company provides good benefits, onsite gym, cafeteria and company store, Denver Tech Center location, and very reasonable work hours; Company treats employees to annual summer picnic and holiday luncheon.
Cons
Not sure if it's easy to move around the company as I have not applied for a job outside my department yet; I have seen people leave the company because they were denied opportunities for growth; cafeteria food is expensive; very few choices in this area of DTC for lunch
Advice to Senior Management
Say hello to your employees.
Pros
start off with 3 weeks paid vacation, matching 401 (k)
Cons
Lack of leadership in management.
Pros
It was a good company to work for. Enjoyed the autonomy and freedom. Working smart and hitting goals was not dependant on number of hours worked. Flexible hours made for a great home life.
Cons
The flexibility and freedom would not work for some individuals. There wasn't much real training, so if you couldn't figure out how to do the job on your own, you really were not going to make it.
Pros
pay, benefits, location and great hours
Cons
There area I work in is all about production and can create an off balance work/life for months at a time.
Pros
Many good people who have learned to excel without management involvement and decent work/life balance. Free parking. For anyone wanting a steady 9 - 5 with little pressure, this is the place.
Cons
Opportunities for advancement so limited as to be nearly non-existent. Education opportunities are at employee expense with some minor reimbursement at completion; however, there is no advancement even for a relevant professional designation or graduate degree. Senior management is utterly disconnected from the rank and file.
Advice to Senior Management
Try walking around and talking to the people who work here. You might actually learn what it is your company does.
Pros
Good benefits, ample time off, training opportunities, the people, average turnover, cooperation between departments, annual bonuses, good location, free parking garage.
Cons
Low pay, disconnected upper management, earned promotions are not granted, lack of communication from management, high cafeteria prices, very old school, lack of leadership.
Advice to Senior Management
Leadership could improve by providing direction, developing people skills and connecting with employees, recognizing outstanding work, treating employees as if they are valuable.
