    Pros

Easy to get along with other employees Raises are determined by how hard you work. $0.25 raise or $0.50 depending on how good of an employee you are

    Cons

Chlorine harshly affects lungs. Constant coughing and hard to breathe even when not inside the waterpark. Also management is terrible at choosing who to promote. 90% of supervisors are males and they only promote women when they have to for legal purposes. They also promote people who get very confused and do not know how to properly be supervisors. It's as if instead of throughly deciding who to promote, they just put everyone's name in a hat and pick at random

    Advice to Management

Do a better job at choosing who is appropriate to promote to be a supervisor.

    Pros

Room for career growth. Great Training

    Cons

Management style shift away from original focus on hiring and keeping excellent pack members.

    Advice to Management

More focus on handling problems with individuals instead of punishing entire team.

    Pros

My manager is very nice and flexible with the schedules, we do have training classes available if you want to participate.

    Cons

They are very picky when it comes to giving employees discounts, raises, watermark passes...but will give lots of things away for guests who complain about ridiculous things.

    Pros

Great atmosphere to work in. Employees were nice and helpful. Everyone is always willing to give a hand in need.

    Cons

Working in the water park was ALWAYS super hot. But you can't help but be hot when you have to keep a facility at 84 degrees and it was summer. It was a miserable time.

    Pros

Watching the kids get have an amazing time is truly a blessing.

    Cons

Corporate has no idea what is happening on the front line. Directors play favorites. The general manager is not present. The front line is drowning not being able to pay their bills. I'm getting paid the same as I did in my last job to do 3 times the work. Managers are disconnected and rude. There are three recently promoted managers in the lodge and they all act like they are superior now. Too good to do line work. This attitude trickles down and creates hostility between other pack members. I never know what I am going to work until a few days before. Making it hard to plan any sort of life around my two jobs. Overall there is a reason my friends and I called this Great Wolf Hell before I worked there.. I was desperate to escape the work I was in that I ended up coming here. And now I wish I would have never left my old job.

    Pros

They want you to be happy so you can make their guests happy. They always do anonymous surveys and give prizes for "exceptional service"

    Cons

Director of department was never there, but had other employees keeping track of our department. So when things go wrong (i.e. a miserable guest, lack of equipment) no one is there to help and we got in trouble. Also poor, poor scheduling

    Advice to Management

    Dont ignore problems with managers/directors

    Pros

The free water park passes for you and your friends were awesome. So was the $1 Dunkin coffee and the discount on the incredibly expensive food.

    Cons

The management does not care about the life guards. They don't care about overworking everyone. They only care about numbers. They don't care if a lifeguard is injured you still have to work. I've never been somewhere with such a high turnover rate.

    Advice to Management

Care about your employees. Treat them with respect and they will treat you with respect. It's not all about numbers.
