Former Employee – worked at Greenbrier
Pros – Training opportunities were of value to the employees to improve their job skills. Employee perks were available - shop discounts, free lunch, holiday parties, etc. Beautiful environment to work in, and many of the guests were great to interact with.
Cons – Very low employee morale. Employees do not get the compensation they deserve for the responsibilities they perform. Management does not interact with employees very often, and lack of communication between executives and staff.
Advice to Senior Management – Boost employee morale, so your employees are happy to come to work. The hours are crazy at times, so ensure your staff is well rested so they can perform at their highest level. Communication is key in any work environment - and employees like to feel involved.
