Pros
-Younger employees and tries to create a "family" environment
-Diverse
-Noble mission and vision
-Opportunities to meet and work with top experts in many fields
Cons
-Little support or clear managerial structure
-Advancement is based on nepotism and ties to the leadership
-Compensation is poor for lower level employees
-No system of accountability
Advice to Senior Management
Create opportunities for staff development, hire from outside of the organization to infuse new ideas and experiences into the work, make funding decisions based on real need and not just on favorites, promote managers who are committed to supporting employees and expanding the organization and not committed to the status quo.
Pros
If you are passionate about social issues and non-profit work, Greenlining is the place to be.
Cons
No opportunity for growth, disorganization, and lack of communication. There also seems to be a lot of nepotism or favoritism behind the scenes when it comes to positions of advancement within the company.
Advice to Senior Management
Pay more attention to your employees wants and needs and you desperately need a HR person to deal with conflict.
