    Pros

GREY San Francisco is an agency that is driven to do great work. We are a group of hard working, passionate ad geeks, determined to challenge the conventional wisdom in pursuit of modern ideas that permeate culture and drive business results. We don't just tell stories on behalf of our clients' brands, we create products, content and experiences that people seek out and share. We sit at the intersection of 'idea culture' & 'maker culture,' and while It's not always easy to take the road less traveled, we keep going. We do whatever it takes to make our ideas become a reality. It's this relentless spirit that makes me so excited to be a part of the team at GREY.

    Cons

GREY San Francisco is not an agency for the faint of heart. We work hard and we expect a great deal of one another. We push one another to be great. We challenge each other to bring our very best each and every day.

    Pros

Great Agency, collaborative people, smart and creative managers. I was only there for like 4 months, but when I left, I felt sadder than when I left former jobs after years.

    Cons

Wasn't there long enough to see any

    Pros

Integrated groups that work on very interesting and innovative projects. Overall, the experience has been very beneficial in terms of growing as a professional.

    Cons

In terms of the big picture, there are no cons. Work is work. It would be great if we had more common areas (not official conference rooms) to sit and have meetings more organically.

    Advice to Management

I think one thing to reconsider (though this is an industry issue) is the attention on junior staff, which I totally get. But, sometimes they are asked to get involved in way too many internal/company culture things, taking away from real world professional development. There is a growing sense of entitlement among young professionals that their employer is their friend. This is not correct: your employer is your employer and they should strive to be a good one. Work isn't a dance party. This is not to say that having company happy hours etc. are a bad thing, however, eventually a line will be crossed, where junior staff are promoting the agency as a product they know very little about.

    Pros

Hours and pay were good, sick days were given if needed, people in the work place were professional and very nice.

    Cons

Places when you were sent to work, you weren't always prepared since they didn't let you know on time, so the materials needed to work or the time to get there was always hard.

    Pros

Unparalleled entry-level experience. You learn a lot of transferable skills.

    Cons

The beauty group is not a great place to start - there is very little room for advancement. Stay away from the Covergirl team especially, it's the worst.

    Pros

There are lots of good people and the environment is quite relaxed. Many social events are held which let you bond with coworkers and meet new ones. It's been an overall good experience so far.

    Cons

Processes and procedures can be a bit scattered. Sometimes it feels like the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

    Advice to Management

Be a bit more forthcoming about negative situations while they are brewing instead of waiting until the last minute to drop bombs.
