    Cons

Am manager is ridiculous. Her mgmt style is by yelling at you or trying to embarrass you. Staff is clique-ie and rude. Pm mgmt hates job so they don't do much managing. If you feel disrespected. They don't care if it's with them.

    Advice to Management

Idc to give advice because they aren't susceptible to advice.

I worked at Grill Concepts part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The hours are flexible, based on the location. You do learn different skills which can help take you elsewhere.

    Cons

You are competitively underpaid unless you are a bartender. You will be asked to work extensively outside of your job description.

    Advice to Management

Make id a more employee friendly environment.

I worked at Grill Concepts full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Many opportunities to transfer or advance. Decent starting salary compared to similar positions in other companies. Great locations. Good training program.

    Cons

No creative energy at upper management to help drive sales when begin to decline.

    Advice to Management

Management does not care as much as it could about it's employees. Culture has diminished throughout the years, really making work more of a scare factor than an enjoyable environment.

  7. The working environment would have been great if management didn't work out of fear and the desperation to meet quotas.

I worked at Grill Concepts part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It was flexible. Easy to switch shifts with other staff if necessary.

    Cons

There seemed to have been a disconnect between staff and higher management. The desire for higher sales quotas increasingly was a problem for such a customer oriented business. There was less and less regard and care for staff.

    Advice to Management

Relax. Working at Daily Grill could be enjoyable. It once was. Desperation adds pressure to everyone on staff.

    Pros

some of the staff are amazing. ALl male bartenders make you feel like they care about their job and some of the servers are very experienced.

    Cons

Clientele for the most part are rude and forget getting a good tip from foreigners. They lie about the benefits and the hours they have to reduce.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect and stop lying about the hours you are reducing. Add the gratuity. save your staff. I would still work their if you got your act together.

I worked at Grill Concepts full-time

    Pros

Because of how horribly it's run, you get away with anything, making it easy and fun to work there.

    Cons

Stress is put on employees, harassment - sexual and otherwise is out of control, not financially rewarding

    Advice to Management

Find professional managers who know what they are doing. You need some secret service servers/hosts etc. to find out how they REALLY act when the big corporate men aren't around.

I worked at Grill Concepts part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Coworkers created an amazing environment to work with. The flow worked very well with the front of the house floor plan. The money is also very lucrative if you work in the night.

    Cons

Management doesn't care as much as it could about it's employees. The owning company is very corporate, which creates a lot of problems as they really stifle and creativity, and really make working more of a scare factor than an enjoyable environment.

    Advice to Management

At least in my location, have a more structured training system, as the newer employees really were thrown under a bus on their first shifts. Make your employee nepotism less obvious...

    Pros

If you are a hardworking person it's the perfect place to work, managers and supervisors are most of the time clear and consistent ,the organization of the whole work system is well done so there is no confusion in hierarchy and responsibilities of parts. I would say that the process of interaction with costumers and managers it's pleasant and easy.

    Cons

the impossibility to take vacation during the Christmas holydays

    Advice to Management

I believe that the management is doing a great job hiring the right people and allowing them to transfer to different locations with better promoting opportunities, they probably should start firing people in a more productive way too, incompetency is an anchor for the places where team work is important, and Daily Grill is one of these places.
