Former Employee – worked at Grossmont College
Pros – Benefits (excellent) - Medical, dental, vision, insurance all free for the entire family with excellent copays.
Work-Life Balance - arranged a schedule that allowed me to drop my kids off at school
Cons – You must pay union dues even if you are not a member of the union.
The union does not assist you if you have been there one year.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't make me pay union dues if they can't help me within the first year. If you plan on laying someone off, do it before they tell you they are pregnant.
