    Pros

    Good employee discount, opportunity for growth if your favored by management, product is decent for the price point.

    Cons

    Lack of consistency, unstable workforce, lack of leadership-very manipulative and deceptive, unprofessional leaders especially at the Director level. Too much gossip. Lack of ethics. No stability, this place is like a revolving door. No work life balance. Take advantage of hard work, there is no appreciation or recognition. As an employee you are just a number. A lot of favortism, people are let go from the company for non-fact based reasons, decisions are solely based on gossip and hearsay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Head office needs to listen to their employees, try to create some stability within the work environment, and be consistent with the messages that are being sent at store level. Start to be more fact based, avoid gossip and hearsay even at the senior levels unless it is substantiated. Need to place more value people and need leaders who are going to be able to motivate not abuse their employees.

    I have been working at Groupe Dynamite full-time

    Pros

    Very precise in their visuals
    They offer more payment wise than most retailers
    Lots of opportunity in upward movement
    One of the only companies where I have been able to interact with DM's or even Regional Directors on a daily basis
    In tune with current social media trends to help promote business.

    Cons

    Expect way too much of management staff.
    There is no separation of responsibility between Key Holders and Assistant Managers
    The direction Home Office gives is never clear or concise
    Benefits are horrible, and it's impossible to get information on it.

    Work on the benefits.
    Company needs more direction as a whole

    Pros

    The only pro in this company was that the clothing was really cute and the pay was competitive.

    Cons

    Unrealistic expectations, no work home life balance, rude bullies as upper management, tons of gossip, no support for new employees, really old operating systems, little to no training, budgets are way to high. Senior management plays favorites, unrealistic goals are set for part time empolyees who only get 1-2 shifts per week.

    50% discount on all clothing.
    Fun and energetic place to work at.
    You learn a lot of things about sales and retail.

    Cons

    Short hours.
    Lots of mix ups in weekly scheduling.

    Give more credit to the employees that really try and do well.
    Manage weekly scheduling with more attention to each person's availabilities.

    Pros

    Great discount, awesome work environment, year-round reviews to assess your needs and potential for growth as an employee.

    Cons

    Pressure to upsell - but I also believe that this is something expected in any sales associated position. At least with Dynamite, there is the encouragement to work as a team.

    Better perks and incentives for sales associates to reach their sales goals.

    Pros

    The discount is pretty good

    Cons

    -Hardly got any shifts
    -Constantly yelled at to reapproach customers I had talked to less than 5 minutes ago
    -managers and older employees would work in the mornings wouldn't clean anything then expect those working in the evening to clean a destroyed store
    -shifts would be changed an hour before your scheduled
    - I called in sick 2 days in advance with a doctors note and was yelled at even though they always had to many employees on the floor once we had 4 of us in the clearance section

    Pros

    Great incentives including employee discount, tuition reimbursement, benefits etc.
    Great training for all employees if executed correctly and it is expanding so they must be doing something right! Great flexibility in scheduling if you are in school or have other obligations.

    Cons

    DIVERSITY- many management staff are not trained on diversity and there is no diversity action plan. In the current economy it is important acknowledge diversity and the organization should reflect the society it is located around. Groupe dynamite fails at this. It is difficult for minorities to be hired specifically for the Garage brand, promotions are even more difficult. The only way many individuals are promoted within the company is if they leave for a period of time and come back.
