I have been working at Guardsmark full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Some of the clients can be really nice and easy to work with. Not much else after that.
Cons – Poor management, poor pay for the NYC area, good luck getting new uniforms. Hard to get day time hours. No sick pay. Very limited vacation. No consideration giving for medical conditions.
Advice to Senior Management – Take into account that your employees actually have to live on what you pay them and without the employees there are no accounts.

I worked at Guardsmark
Pros – The pay was fairly good but ultimately it did not make up for how bad it was to work there. Many of the team members who worked there were great people and we all looked out for each other because the owner and leadership were so vicious and mean. The hiring standards are very rigid so it insured that only the best an brightest were employed there. I did hear that people who worked out in the branches who had no interaction with the president of the company did not mind working for Guardsmark. I really can't come up with any other "best reasons."
Cons – It is a very hostile environment. The owner of the company is very cruel and unprofessional. People are treated very poorly and the owner does not care about people's well being or their lives outside of work. Going home sick could get you yelled at or in trouble. This is the worst company I have ever worked for.
Advice to Senior Management – It is shameful how badly you treat your employees.
