I have been working at Guardsmark part-time for less than a year

    Pros

-Great for retiree's. Great for students. Flexible hours. Light work load.

    Cons

-The site you work at determines your pay, which never increases unless the company renegotiates with the customer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-Try to focus on future technologies and processes. Guardsmark is just like most other private security companies out there, they are still living in the 80's. Setting themselves apart from the rest will help to negotiate higher salaries for your employees.

I worked at Guardsmark full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Really, just a job to get me through until something better came along. Shift work and of course, I got the overnight shift since I was new. Little contact with supervisors. Easy job. Hardest part was trying to stay awake and alert.

    Cons

Pay was not much. Co-workers that had been there years didn't make much more than me. Not a place to advance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay a little more and create room for advancement.
