    Pros

%40 discount on merchandise with %50 off every now and then. Great way to gain experience. You always are busy and time passes quickly.

    Cons

Low pay for the amount of work being performed. Schedule is constantly changing and you usually are asked to stay late (almost every shift).

    Pros

This was my first job, I learned my essentials about retail from this company. How to sell and how to deal with customers.

    Cons

There was no room for growth all I wanted to do within the company was get promoted and no one was able to help me achieve this goal. I was ambitious and made it clear about what my career path was. I worked for this company for 4 1/2 years until I could no longer take it anymore.

    Advice to Management

Grow your people. Management was lazy, selfish and did not take the time to care other than push selling. Stressing sales employees about sales goals is not a way to make goals happen. Now a manager at Nordstroms it was a blessing in disguise that this company did not promote me.

    Pros

Most of the people are pretty cool to work with and the store managers are always willing to help.

    Cons

Managers (district and regional) and corporate set unrealistic goals and I feel that some of the rules they come up with are sexist. Also there isn't much room to grow with the company, and they care more about exceeding sales than keeping their employees happy.

    Advice to Management

Grow some and stop letting corporate run all over you.

    Pros

Fun fast passed environment, decent pay, good discount, good benefits, good product makes it easy to bonus. Good music to listen to while working.

    Cons

Long hours (late nights/early mornings), upper management outside of the store level don't have a clear understanding of what is happening in store (like in most retail).

    Advice to Management

Distribute hours to stores differently spend more time in your stores understanding why each one needs to be.different and handled as such. And stop spreading distict and regional managers so thin by giving them such lager districts to oversee, its not fair to your storesz or your customers. And get the woman and payroll some help please.

CEO fires you on the spot for being late few minutes or if see you on your cell phone. Top Exec's usually do not stay more than 1-2 years.

    Advice to Management

focus on a strategy for the company

    Pros

Great clothes, Iconic brand, vacation, great discount, everyone really nice at corporate, fun manager meetings, district managers really seem to care about their people.

    Cons

Larger stores need more payroll to operate properly, very focused on "brand image or the look of the worker" instead of the quality of the worker. This can lead to the wrong people on the team.

    Pros

Great first job for newcomers. Excellent training offered to new and current employees. Management was great at motivating sales staff. Everyone I worked with was great.

    Cons

The location was on the Las Vegas strip so the hours were very late for a retail location. In addition, they were many drunken customers. Sometimes they were aggressive and it was uncomfortable.

    Advice to Management

Certain employees were favored over others regardless of their work ethic. In addition, depending on who was at the register, sometimes cashiers would give other employees' credit for sales to their friends.
