    Pros

Large and diverse company. Very good benefits.

    Cons

As with most large companies, communication falls short.

    Pros

This particular location provided housing and dining for employees.

    Cons

Remote location made it difficult to leave the area during breaks or even days off.

    Advice to Management

Multiple managers with differing strategies and priorities made expected performance difficult to ascertain.

I have been working at Guest Services full-time

    Pros

Lack of internal politics Diverse nature of business Generous benefits Interesting work Excellent employee recognition

    Cons

None that I can think of, except that leadership sometimes seems a bit disengagef from the day-to-day running of the business, but I think that's natural. I feel fortunate to work here.

I worked at Guest Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy job, easy money, not much experience needed.

    Cons

The company does not care about it's employees or the work conditions. If you report something they do a terrible job at investigating and at the end of the day nothing changes. My location was disorganized and management was lazy and untrustworthy.

    Advice to Management

When an employee makes a complaint make them feel just as important as anyone else and do pop up visits to your locations. Corporate should also speak with employees or how they feel about work conditions.

I worked at Guest Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The ability to serve in a national park is an honor. The company strives for low cost options and accessibility.

    Cons

The systems are outdated and personnel turn over is extremely high (75% of our 25 room hotel staff in one season).

    Advice to Management

Spend the money on facilities and systems and less on branding or merchandise. It is better to have a beautiful and well run place than a showy mask thrown on a rotting corpse.

I have been working at Guest Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

All the people I work with are friendly, helpful. All of the upper management, including the owners, are approachable, ready to help. They create a lot of get-togethers.

    Cons

I really can't think of any cons of working with this company.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!

I have been working at Guest Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Discounts on company properties and free lunch when you visit corporate.

    Cons

I am not sure they understand the way the world works. They seem oblivious to the voice of employees or even consultants they hire. There is no structure for learning your actual job or how you will be measured. The compensation is below market. It becomes a slap in the face when you realize that the corporate employees have lunch prepared everyday on site.

    Advice to Management

    Wake up!
