    Pros

    Work experience, ownership of work

    Cons

Horrible management. No team spirit. Middle and lower management has no skills. People who have no knowledge of the functionality of the team are leading the teams and hence the system is collapsing.

    Advice to Management

Team leader should understand the functions that they are leading. The personality of the employees being hired is important. Technical skills can be taught but personality cannot be changed

    Pros

    - Fun people and good atmosphere. A lot of young engineers. Average age in engineering is probably 30. - Due to its rather small size, everyone can evolve quickly and gain more responsabilities. - Good benefits (health insurance, 401k)

    Cons

    - Supposedly 4x10 hours from Monday to Thursday bur working 10 hours of overtime is expected so you will work every Friday. Expect 60 to 70 hour weeks at times. - Schedule driven - Promotions are not what they used to be.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time setting up a realistic plan rather than chasing fires and inducing stress

    Pros

Amazing company with great history, extraordinary products, and a very proud workforce. Excellent pay and benefits. Unique opportunities for some employees.

    Cons

Typical corporate machine. Rapid growth driven by extreme greed of parent company General Dynamics has resulted in confusion, disorganization, and high-stress, fear-based reactive culture. Company strategy seems to be, "sell as many planes as possible as fast as you can, and build them as fast as you can." The soul of the company has been lost to the pursuit of profits, the dollar and the GD stock price. As a result, employees are stressed out, anxious, fearful, and overworked. HR and leadership speak of "employee empowerment" and "work-life balance," but it's all fluff. The implicit message to all employees is that if you don't give 150%, you're not doing your job. Employees who actually have the courage to exercise healthy boundaries (e.g. leaving work on time) are mocked. Leadership refuses to scale the workforce to meet demand, exacerbating the situation.

    Advice to Management

Start interacting personally with individual contributors and front-line management to fix problems and remove roadblocks (e.g. listen to your workforce, give them authority to make decisions, allow them to hire more people). Reclaim the soul of the company - the magic of flight, the beauty of fine craftsmanship, and the uniqueness of a bespoke customer experience. Focus on quality, not speed and quantity. Show people you are human and actually care about them.

    Pros

Great pay, great benefits, vacation and sick leave

    Cons

Once in a while you run into the good old boy club , but they have been slowing chipping away at that.

    Advice to Management

Be careful with the overtime, you can burn people out.

Some of the people have a terrible disposition, but are allowed to keep their position...

    Advice to Management

Innovate, create disruptive change in the market

Not quite the juggernaut of an OEM like Boeing so opportunities for advancement or lateral moves are a little easier.

As a stress engineer, have the ability to work on various structural components instead being relegated to a single part.

    Cons

Little bit of a "good ole boy" mentality here but it's improving.

    Pros

Great Salary and Benefits, can move up in the company if you are motivated. Pays to have a Bachelors degree. I would definitely recommend other aviation personnel to work here.

    Cons

The good ol boy system is still in affect. The company will open up internal Job opportunities where there is only the person they want in that position qualified.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, the pay and benefits are good for now. Going to a new insurance is good for single employees but I going to burden thos with families and who need to use the doctor more.
