    Pros

Good environment to work, and good place to star your career if you are in the Hospitality Industry. Like in every place there will be competition.

    Cons

This industry is not well paid unless you are in a management position, and sometimes even if you are a manager you might be end up getting a lower salary than you should.
    Salaries are low.

I worked at Guoman Hotels full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    Young office
Lots of social outings (that is only down to the employees themselves organising events)

    Cons

They did not trust their employees which in turn meant that employees did not trust managers
Management anal about dress code, I would smart brown leather shoes to work one day and I was given out to because they were not black or grey... really?!
    Bad pay

I worked at Guoman Hotels full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    Internal Promotions
    Great Team Spirit
    Hard Working Staff
    Quality Hotel and Quality Services

    Cons

    Salaries are sub-standard
A number of guest-facing staff speak poor English
Some Managers make issues personal; beware!
Hours can be ridiculously long, particularly in M&E.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be less draconian, and don't forget that people DO make mistakes. And in doing so, don't forget how well they've worked up until they make those mistakes.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
