Current Employee – been working at Gwinnett Medical Center
Pros – Nice environment, nice people, fair compensation. I feel that the hospital is invested in improving hospital systems, technology and retaining employees.
Cons – There are too many PRN positions and not enough full-time. The hospital does rely heavily on this staff, expects them to work holidays and they do not have benefits. Most all employees are hired PRN initially and then moved into part or full-time positions as they become available.
Advice to Senior Management – I would really like to see more part & full time positions... the PRN employees sometimes feel taken advantage of. They enjoy working there and the compensation is good but work stability and benefits extremely important to many people.

Former Employee – worked at Gwinnett Medical Center
Pros – benefits and pay are comparable to other places
Cons – No communication between mgment and staff. rules change on a day to day basis, and employees are expected to just know the new rules. Expect you to work short staffed and still do a great job in less time.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to your employees and treat them with respect. Saying "if you don't like it, there are plenty of people who want your job" doesn't foster happy employees.

Current Employee – been working at Gwinnett Medical Center
Pros – Management is great. I really liked my direct supervisor from the very begining.
Communication is very good, there are news letters, emails, ect
Pay is fair.
Cons – Health insurance is fair not great. It really does not like to pay for much. There is no weekend diff at all.
Advice to Senior Management – Over all management is great. I would shop around for better insurance, and look into offering weekend diff. open up a 9 month employeement schedule that allows employees work during high census times and off for the low census times. But their pay is divided so the employee is paid all 12 monthes.
