I have been working at Gymboree full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

It used to be a very good place to work , But now they are going down after continuous losses every year.
Still the best part is their products . The kids look very cute in those. Sample Sales

    Cons

They are laying off a lot , Bringing in outside vendors and laying off people , Not a good company to work for.
No Job Security left. Managers are just hiding all updates from people

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get some ethics and try to take care of your employees , They have placed you so well till now and you should not forget that.

    Pros

This was my first job as a junior in high school. I continue to return to work at Gymboree during breaks from my university because the store manager is great.

I have been working at Gymboree part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Even though I had to leave for an extended period of time for my family, I was welcomed back with open arms. I was able to start at the bottom and work my way up all the way to assistant manager.

    Cons

There's such a limited amount of hours that can be given in my store. I also dislike that, as a family company, we were asked to work on thanksgiving this past year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would suggest maybe spending more time in the actual stores. You should figure out a way to tell the difference between outlet merchandise and not. I also believe that there should be a "no receipt no return policy" to help lower shrink.

    Pros

    Build close relationships with colleagues

    Cons

Lack of communication, no loyalty, not so great benefits

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company needs to care more about their employees. Benefits are awful and employees are expected to do more work without the compensation to show for.
