A great job that promotes heavily from within.

    Management (Current Employee)

ProsThe people are really fun and the job itself is the best. Corporate maintains a really good relationship with the shops, being close enough to help out and provide incentives for the employees, but not so close as to seem like "big brother" is breathing down your neck.

ConsThe unprofessionalism sometimes gets a little out of hand. Their national meetings are notorious for everyone getting drunk and high.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

    Too good to be true

Shift Leader (Former Employee) Fort Lauderdale, FL

ProsI liked how it was a decent first job. I got basic customer service skills. Free ice cream is always cool and being in a mall location meant getting to know other mall employees and food court discounts. It wasn't hard at all, anyone can work there.

ConsUnprofessional management, favoritism, and high expectations. Come on, it's an ice cream shop worked by a couple 16-17 year old kids, take it easy. I got promoted within the first 2 months. A year later, no further promotions. My manager was pretty immature and seemed to reprimand us everyday when he wasn't too good of a leader. Always on his phone and extremely uninterested in his job.

Advice to Senior ManagementGrow up. If you're going to have these expectations at least make us want to meet them.

    stress with ice cream?

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Chicago, IL

ProsSampling free ice cream was always nice. Meeting new people. Learning how to make their products.

ConsCustomers can be very rude and my coworkers were terrible. Managers weren't professional at all. I never thought working in an ice cream store of all places would be so stressful!

Advice to Senior ManagementClean up your act!

    Good starter job

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsPretty good pay for what you do and even better benefits (getting into disneyland for free). I met a lot of cool people

ConsYou feel stuck there because even though the whole experience isnt too shabby, you don't really have the opportunity to move up and even if you do, just working in an ice cream shop doesnt look that great on a resume.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe workers really take advantage of you because they feel their "superiors" are very laid back and can be immature so you should really consider who you give promotions to.
