Excellent, I felt like I was part of a team and truly believed in the company's mission.

    I worked at Häagen-Dazs part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

My co-workers were really friendly and my boss made her expectations clear but was also friendly. I worked hard and was rewarded with consistent promotions and raises.

    Cons

Occasionally, customers were hard to deal with. Sometimes I felt that I compensated for the laziness of my fellow workers because I cleaned more than they did.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make cleaning duties for each employee more clear.

    I worked at Häagen-Dazs part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

It's a good place to work if you're in high school or young in college. They were pretty accommodating to my school schedule.

    Cons

The hours can be pretty unbearable, especially during the summer for obvious reasons. Some people can be pretty crabby or unapproachable

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

For some reason, the managers and some employees were like a clique almost. You had to prove yourself to some of the managers before they'd give you the time of day. I don't feel as that's very professional, treat all with respect! Also, try not to let your personal lives come to work.

    Great for High School Kids

    I worked at Häagen-Dazs part-time

    Pros

You get the basic sales representative experiences. For example: cash handling, customer service, working in a food environment.

    Cons

Compensation is low. Expect somewhere between minimum wage or just a little higher. Leave as soon as you graduate high school to pursue a professional career.

    I worked at Häagen-Dazs part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

I liked how it was a decent first job. I got basic customer service skills. Free ice cream is always cool and being in a mall location meant getting to know other mall employees and food court discounts. It wasn't hard at all, anyone can work there.

    Cons

Unprofessional management, favoritism, and high expectations. Come on, it's an ice cream shop worked by a couple 16-17 year old kids, take it easy. I got promoted within the first 2 months. A year later, no further promotions. My manager was pretty immature and seemed to reprimand us everyday when he wasn't too good of a leader. Always on his phone and extremely uninterested in his job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow up. If you're going to have these expectations at least make us want to meet them.

    I worked at Häagen-Dazs part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Sampling free ice cream was always nice. Meeting new people. Learning how to make their products.

    Cons

Customers can be very rude and my coworkers were terrible. Managers weren't professional at all. I never thought working in an ice cream store of all places would be so stressful!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Clean up your act!

    I worked at Häagen-Dazs

    Pros

Pretty good pay for what you do and even better benefits (getting into disneyland for free). I met a lot of cool people

    Cons

You feel stuck there because even though the whole experience isnt too shabby, you don't really have the opportunity to move up and even if you do, just working in an ice cream shop doesnt look that great on a resume.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The workers really take advantage of you because they feel their "superiors" are very laid back and can be immature so you should really consider who you give promotions to.

I have been working at Häagen-Dazs full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The people are really fun and the job itself is the best. Corporate maintains a really good relationship with the shops, being close enough to help out and provide incentives for the employees, but not so close as to seem like "big brother" is breathing down your neck.

    Cons

The unprofessionalism sometimes gets a little out of hand. Their national meetings are notorious for everyone getting drunk and high.

It was fun, could get very slow, but you had repeat offenders as far as customers and it was fun to meet new people.

    Cons

Very slow, and our store closed down.
