Pros
Communication, goal alignment, truly see value in having an engaged workforce.
Cons
Work-life balance can sometimes get skewed.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep listening. Perhaps promote from within more frequently.
Pros
the pay was very good, but it came with a lot of stress
Cons
management was very unprofessional. Some were mean and incompetent
Advice to Senior Management
treat employees the wayb you would want to be treated
Pros
Financial results great for 2009. Senior Leadership finally stabilized. Decent growth trends. Good Talent Acquisition in last 18 months.
Cons
TOO LEAN in human capital and investment in the Supply Chain infrastructure; lack of people, diverse talent and innovation in plants, and raw material sourcing. No investment for the future to support sales. No plan for raw materials; spot buying is unreliable and costly long-term.
Advice to Senior Management
The so-called turn-around will be short lived beginning to surface in 2010. No investment in knowledgeable people, capital equipment, and a strategy beyond Sales will lead to sub-optimal performance very shortly.
Pros
Solid company. Average salaries. Being a small company and lean you get exposed to senior management levels fairly easy and quickly.
Cons
Little advancement opportunities. Career development is non-existing
Advice to Senior Management
Get serious on making career development a reality rather than just empty words
