    Pros

I think this is a great company to work for. HEB values their partners - treats every member with dignity and respect. Management emphasizes customer satisfaction under any circumstances and acknowledges when you're doing a good job. Pay was competitive for the position and my co-workers were always people who I enjoyed working with.

    Cons

The company values seniority over anything else and will oftentimes overlook a talented partner in search of someone with more experience working with the company. With that being said, some of the employees who have been with the company for some time will let this go to their heads.

    Pros

Again, depending on the HEB, it's pick-your-own schedule and its very helpful. all schedule stuff is done through the computer which is very nice. the managers are all super nice and very very dedicated to HEB. Very nice coworkers!

    Cons

Depending on the store, the managers can be really cool and nice or super uptight, i worked at two locations in two very different class areas and the one in the upper class neighborhood was unbearable, so pick one in a rougher neighborhood for an easier job!

    Advice to Management

Lighten up on the best place to shop score jesus christ

    Pros

The pay is great, management works with the college students schedule through out the year, and the people you meet are from every walk of life.

    Cons

Hours can get tight during certain times of the year if you are not full time. Part time insurance is decent for a college student but can be hard on an adult with a family.

    Pros

HEB is very willing to work around students still in school and cares about your families and personal life. It is a great first time job for a teenager but also a great place to work up in the company and to become a career later in life.

    Cons

Working with people can sometimes be difficult, it does get a bit hectic during those busy times like holidays. The hours are not always regular.

    Pros

Great coworkers as well as a generally positive environment in a college town.

    Cons

There are really not too many downsides other than it is occasionally too political.

    Pros

-%10 off all HEB products starting at least three months after employment (VPP Card)
-Open door policy for any complaints or concerns concerning your experiences at work
    -401k
    -Loan and tuition aid
    -Vacation getaways
    -paid maternity leave
-15-30 minute break ever two and four hours, respectively.
    - Somewhat flexible uniform
-15 minute "grace" period for days that you are running late
    -Shift swapping with coworkers

    Cons

-You get covered in the sludge and juice from raw meat and other oozy things
    -Everything is filthy
    -You are always hungry
-You end up paying too much money for good food you don't need to buy
-Customers can be a hassle if you are not completely and utterly attentive to their each and every need
    -Customers overshare their personal ongoings
-Customers are fragile. They get upset quite easily.
-The majority of your coworkers are teenagers (esp. teenage boys), elderly men and women, and handicapped individuals, making work slow and inefficient at times.
-The beeping of the cash register will ring in your ears and haunt your dreams.
-Frequent scrapes, scratches, cuts, bruises, broken nails, chapped elbows, and the occasional finger caught in machinery.
-Parking lot duty (pushing 6-10 shopping carts through the parking lot and back into their designated area in)
-No call/No show for a shift = immediate termination
-Nine call ins or late days past the 15 minute "grace period" are allowed per year before termination

    Advice to Management

Be more lenient with your call in policy. Sometimes bad stuff happens, and you need to understand that.

    Pros

Great pay for now, good work/life balance

    Cons

Charles butt has no idea how bad it's been since things started changing from sales per pay roll to units per payroll one word "miserable employees, low moral" lots of partners fear losing their pay if their position is no longer necessary, every year new recruits come out of sorm and sorrel only to pressure partners to work harder and under a microscope. All this with the same amount of employees or less compared to the year 2000 that means partners are forced to work above 100% according to their mathematic formula it's over 105%. Same employees more work

    Advice to Management

Too many chiefs not enough indians
