    Pros

The company is interested in keeping employees long-term
    Promote frequently
    Clearly state expectations
    Flexible work schedule

    Cons

The frequent promotions often means teenage managers on a power trip

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promoting is great, but maybe don't put people in a position of leadership until they have more experience

    I worked at H E B part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

It's impossible to stay in the same position you get hired at unless you're some sort of 20 year old bum who hates the world. Management can get weird at times, but there are so many other people who are willing to help you out. You get an insane amount of benefits and pay for compared to most other grocery stores (and even other unskilled jobs in general).

    Cons

Customers, obviously. Lots of high school kids work alongside you in the bagging and cash registers, so there can be some drama that carries over from their school. That's really about it.

    Pros

Great pay, Worked on my own or with 1-2 co-workers most of time, hardly ever worked with boss, nice to feel independent. Boss was very flexible with requesting off.

    Cons

If not hired full time its hard to get full time, produce doesn't have a fast turn over rate on full time employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I had a great manager but he didn't help on the floor unless it was super super busy
