    Small. Partnerships.

    Advice to Management

Partnerships with Otsuka and Takeda. They own us. We have little control over our fate

    Pros

Young company, young people. Can be fun to work for. Potential for growth. Employees get restaurant discount downstairs. Employees get lots of time off, snow days and xmas week. Lots of food, everywhere, all the time. Free coffee and soda.

    Cons

Employees have minimal experience outside their present job and some are appallingly immature. Some have too much power for their skill level. That said, there are those few who do outstanding work. You'll know who they are - they're the ones who aren't whispering in the hallways, rolling their eyes behind others' backs or otherwise backstabbing or stiffling another's work. They're mature, respectful, hardworking, encouraging and honest. They're also the minority, and they seem to keep their heads in the sand, not unaware of the behaviors around them. Food is gross, always buffet spreads outside conference rooms, so if your tiny cube is outside conference room, you suffer noise and smell. No discounts for contractors. No free food, coffee or soda for conteactors either, unless employees are done, then they may throw scraps on your desk hours later. It's rather unthinking and rude.

    Advice to Management

Become aware. enable and promote communication. Respect your contractors. Eliminate buffet spreads outside of kitchen or conference rooms. Dont segregate your contractors from your employees. Its rude and abusive how you treat them.

    Pros

Great work environment. Leadership really works to make it a great company to work for.

    Cons

The medications are for very small populations which make it difficult to see customers.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing.

I worked at H. Lundbeck full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good focus on patients well being and a growing company with products in the pipeline. Decent pay, good benefits and bonus, though it has changed in the last few years, everybody knows everybody's business. Started as a good small company culture of flexibility and entrepreneurship, but not anymore.

    Cons

Cannot rely on internal support for career advancement. Sometimes hard to trust your own manager as they are all out for their own goals and objectives, though they seem nice from outside they could be stabbing your back and senior leaders knowingly allow this to happen. Now that they are growing with the newly copromoted products, it's a challenging place to work. ,

    Advice to Management

Don't lose sight of the good dedicated people who have one foot out the door!

I worked at H. Lundbeck full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    - CNS focused company - Some great people in the markets - Very good rapport with psych/neuros

    Cons

    - Does not really take the tough decisions esp with respect o Danish employees. Very similar in that respect to the Japanese - Male-dominated WASP culture - Unable to listen to local advice (HQ always knows best!) - Wining/dining culture on overseas trips by HQ staff. Always a "night cap" no matter how much you have had to drink!

    Advice to Management

    - Instill strong ethics in your travelling staff - The former CEO had some conflicting ethical issues. Let us see what the new one does. - A radical downsizing in Copenhagen is required. However, my bet is that the new CEO, also Danish, will not rock the boat - Make English the ONLY spoken language at meetings

    Advice to Management

speed your process in launching blockbuster products in new regions
