I have been working at H&E Equipment full-time

    Pros

Pay is great for industry. Company culture is fun and interactive. Company provides extensive training and all the perks of working for a well organized billion dollar company. Upper management is genuinely interested in the well being of every single employee. Safety culture is top priority, for real.

    Cons

Industry is extremely competitive. Corporate culture is somewhat stiff and inflexible regarding policy to the detriment of the individual employee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is doing a great job all the way around. Growing pains are inevitable, but overall, try to stay in tune with the individual employee.

I have been working at H&E Equipment full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

All Depends on Manager of store and region... Also location of store... Stores in TX and LA are the best have great service and great fleet

    Cons

Growth is a huge problem because they don't promote within and won't bring you in fleet when you need it and branches don't work together at all... It is sad at what my market could be and what it is... Service side is awful and destroys your customer relations you have been working on for a while and upper management just thinks of you as a replaceable peon BUT DARE try and leave and they go after you... word of advice don't come here or do research on branch it really is a good company at certain locations just I got unlucky and still am

    Pros

At this time there are no PROS other than they will let you work all the OT you can get away with

    Cons

No pay raises in 8 years, the health benefits cost too much for what you get, the management thinks its better than there employees saying things like"No one in this building could do my job" or "if it were not for me this place would shut down"

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

At least try to act like you care for the employees this is the only company that I have ever herd of or worked for that makes money off its employees

    I worked at H&E Equipment

    Pros

    Salary was competitive....that's about it.

    Cons

for me, the people. poor management choices. I came in with a pretty good history in the industry under my belt. After sending me to one week of their training they didn't even give me a full week after training to learn their process before they turned their back on me. oh well, if it was me, poor decision by management to bring me in. If not me, them....poor decision to let me go.
