  1. Hard work is an understatement. As a salary employee you are treated as hourly with none of the salary benefits.

    Pros

You can learn a lot. Good stepping stone job. Great place for those without a HS or college education. Great co-workers.

    Cons

Poorly managed. The owners opinion of you decides your fate regardless how hard you work or smart you are. Often times managers are no where to be found supposedly in "meetings" then we would get in trouble for making a "wrong" decision but they were unavailable to help so stop yelling at us.

    Advice to Management

Everything bad does not warrant yelling at everyone. Control your temper. Our people care but are treated like we are all stupid.

    Pros

A job, a paycheck, a free lunch if people dont get hurt once a month, cool workmates.

    Cons

The CEO is a bipolar maniac, that has anger issues, and when he has a bad day he goes on the floor and looks for somebody to fire to make himself feel better. During company meetings he casts his political views and if laws pass threatens to move the company to Utah.

    Advice to Management

Look at all the talent that has left, and look at what you are left with. Be kind to people and read the book that you pass out "QBQ" The Question Behind the Question, without the do as I say and not as I do. You know deep down there were some awesome people that have worked there, there is potential for this company to do so much better.

Management expects respect from its employee's but doesn't practice what they preach.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring inept sheep, Lead by example, stop blaming employees for things that are your responsibility.

    Pros

Some of the best people I have ever worked with. Everyone works as a team to get things done. It's a casual and comfortable environment, the supervisors are hands on and are there to help if needed.

    Cons

When it gets busy you may be asked to work overtime.

    Pros

The company has an excellent reputation within the promotional products industry. If you make it past 3-months, you will probably stay for a while. It's not a picnic but the very hands-on owner expects excellence and he does not miss a thing.

    Cons

Must be prepared for the explosive nature of the big boss. Keep in mind he is just passionate about his company and he means well.

    Pros

If you work hard, you might get noticed. Sometimes they have fun things for employees like lunch, parties, flu clinic.

    Cons

If you don't want to work hard, you won't last. If you don't have a life outside of work you have a better chance of lasting.

    Advice to Management

    Notice hard work more often.

    Pros

I thought the employees and some of the managers were nice people, others definitely were not. Liked the job but hated the work environment.

    Cons

CEO screams and yells at the top of his lungs and calls employees and managers stupid and other curse words. Top management doesn't like the majority of their managers and are eager to replace them. Company wide lack of communication. Managers don't talk to you or tell you what their expectations are. Lots and lots of employees being hired & fired and management never indicated what they wanted or told you what you could do differently. Lots of backstabbing and verbal abuse. Environment of fear over being fired. Sexual harassment, lots of bullies and other problems.

    Advice to Management

The company is rotten from the top down. Treat people like human beings. Talk to us, we don't have ESP to read your mind.

    Pros

If you work hard there is opportunity for advancement. The benefits are pretty good. You are rewarded with a safety lunch for not having any accidents.

    Cons

It's manufacturing, so it is hard work. It gets warm during the summer.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate the hard workers. Say thank you.

    Pros

A paycheck. Possibly a stepping stone to something better. Experience. There are very few pros to working at H&H/Digispec. The management is sub-par, the working environment is stressful, employees are unappreciated. You come in, do your job, get paid, and hopefully, management leaves you alone. In this economy, it's a job and pays the bills, so I guess that's a "pro."

    Cons

Don't value their employees. Shady management with public records of abuse. Taken away all incentives. Minimal benefits. Constant fear of losing your job (instilled by management).

    Advice to Management

Step back and value your good employees.

    Pros

Experience in the the promotional manufacturing field can be gained and used to get in to a better position in a decent company.

    Cons

In sales commission rates changes constantly with management assuring you it is in your favor but it never worked out that way. Certain employees are always being picked on while certain people are allowed to do whatever they want. It is also common knowledge that people are let go out of the blue frequently. Turn over is out of control.

    Advice to Management

Think for yourselves and look out for your team.
