    Pros

Great office , friendly tax pros, met some wonderful new friends, and a wide variety of friendly clients. Decent hours too. FANTASTIC training!

    Cons

Not much to do during slow times, pay was ok but could have been better, for training you have to drive to Des Moines, which is an hour away from me. you get paid for it, but it's still a way to go, and you get paid two dollars less for training. This was also a seasonal only position.

    Advice to Management

I know there's nothing you can do about Kansas City, but when they triple book your appointment, please do not get exasperated at the CSP, this wasn't our fault. Also, make sure to block out a 45 min/ hour lunch for yourself or KC WILL fill that slot not giving TP's a lunch. Again, not our fault but we get in trouble for it.

    Pros

I loved hr block, if you actually learn the skill you can make great seasonally money. They train their preparers really well but you have to do your part & take it in (to many just sleep through it)

    Cons

Poor local management, my heart will always be there but I couldn't take it anymore. Favoritism & constant competition

    Advice to Management

Check deeper into your office leaders/managers. my district manager seriously failed. Help to be sure your good employees are actually recognized not just the favorites (that don't even know how to do taxes & don't have the numbers)
