    Pros

    .They were willing to work around my personal schedule as much as possible.

    Cons

    I worked as a tax preparer and felt the rate of pay was low compared to the amount of responsibility I had.

    Flexible scheduling
    Slow start to tax seasons allows for an easy acclimation
    Easy work: scheduling appointments, making calls, making coffee
    Easily able to move up to tax professional after first season

    Cons

    Low hours for most of season
    Every office has different methods, making floating annoying.

    Greater knowledge of income taxes, even as a Client Service Professional. Very good environment. Work with schedule for school and children.

    Store managers let management go to their heads.

    Verify store managers are helping CSP no just assuming the CSPs know what they are doing.

    Pros

    As soon as you start working here, you can tell H&R Block hires the right people with the right attitudes. Among the employees, there is an overall sense of optimism, agility, and respect. H&R Block is a leading company, adapting to new technology, ideas, and improvements. Our culture truly makes an impact on how we work as a company day to day. The CEO is a great leader to the company, and shares his vision for the future with us. The compensation is fair and opportunities for advancement are available. Short term incentives, tuition assistance, and different benefit plans are available.

    We need to build more of a stable relationships between our Corporate and Field employees. We have the tools to do so, it's just something that will take time.

    Schedule is very flexible, tax pros (at least my location) were very friendly and helpful.

    Cons

    Can be boring until it picks up about mid season, hours are limited to due hiring (what seems like) an excess of CSPs

    Hire needed full time (40 hour) CSPs and less part time.
