HAKS Engineers Reviews
Pros – I like the people in the field. The projects were pretty interesting and the challenges were unique and exiting. I got to travel to new places, meet new people and learned a lot. Information flows freely but only if you ask. Compensation is competitive.
Cons – Company culture. HAKS is a young company and seem to be growing faster than they can manage. Communication from the top is hit and miss. As much as I liked it there, it is a "Job Shop". If you don't have a client / project you don't have a job you need to be bringing in the bacon or they will cut you loose.
Advice to Senior Management – Invest in your people, train and equip them to exceed exceptions. Develop and implement a standardized training program, you don't need to recreate the wheel on each project. Embrace technology, there should be a online internal job board accessible to to all HAKS employees, finding your next project or changing roles should not be a treasure hunt. The senior people who start a project should finish the project.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
Pros – Corporate headquarters is friendly and easy to work with.
Cons – Extremely high turn over rate, absolutely no training
Advice to Senior Management – Take time to train new employees, rather than setting them up for failure.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
Pros – HAKS creates a social work environment.
Cons – Those making decisions that directly affect other employees (but not the decision maker) are too remote from the situation to understand what is best under the circumstances.
HAKS does not allow ethics to get in the way of their decisions.
Pros – The company is a great place to work and grow, The upper management has created a good environment, and everyone is thankful to the company's creator and owner, Most departments are great as long as you are not in the Architecture department.
Cons – The department management starts with the idea that everyone working under them should consider themselves lucky to have a job and expect nothing more, As long as you are working in the Architecture department, expect all the company rules to be broken or bended in your diss-favor. Expect to work a brutal number of hours with little to no appreciation for your efforts; Expect to find yourself in a place with no advancement opportunity and with the only hope on the horizon for you is to leave.
Advice to Senior Management – This advice is for the Company's leadership because the department managers don't care or want to hear what their employees think. Pay attention to what is happening to the individual people in your company's departments. There is something wrong with a department where everyone wants to leave due to how they are being treated. This type of treatment will create long term resentment for the company and HAKS does not deserve it.
