Cons – After working at a small business for many years, coming back into a large corporation does take some time and patience to get used to. More strict in the policies and procedures then a small business is.

Pros – flexibility with schedule, nice coworkers, gaining experience within a very large organization, centrally located among restaurants and shopping

Cons – loyalty is not rewarded- to earn a competitive salary you have to switch companies because of the strict cap imposed on HR promotions, some micro-management practices, typical corporate red tape and unending tiers of approvals.

Advice to Senior Management – Reward loyalty. Let employees be more autonomous. Foster a more progressive culture.

Pros – HCA is a great company with good benefits and decent salaries.

Cons – Physician Services is a terrible place to work. It's very disorganized and usually under staffed. Also, they have cut all of the staff increases to the point that it isn't worth working towards a promotion, because they'll give you a small salary increase, but bump your hours by 10 hours per week.

Advice to Senior Management – Bring back the former staff increases and change the work expectations among the managers.
