Pros
There are great people that work there and good resources. There is good work life balance and it is a fairly stable company.
Cons
Used to be a great company and is now only mediocre. After the LBO, the company began to treat its employees with less respect.
Advice to Senior Management
Manage the company as it was managed when Dr. Frist was still in control. Control your greed and treat your employees with more respect.
Pros
Business model is very stable, future is looking bright due to changes in senior management.
Cons
The company is very medical minded. IT's role in the company is still not gauged properly.
Advice to Senior Management
Get real about the importance of IT in the company, career growth, and compensation for talent.
Pros

Generally an easygoing atmosphere
Managers and directors seem to genuinely care about your well-being
Cons
Long hours
Uncompensated On-call
A lot of the processes are not solid, expect constant changes to rules and procedures
Expect the work environment and your responsibilities to change often
Advice to Senior Management
Slow down and focus on perfecting what you have instead of constantly trying to branch out into other areas and change processes.

Advice to Senior Management
Overall doing a good job.
Pros
Teamwork, dedication of staff, belief in great patient care, nice benefits, childcare center affiliated with hospital
Cons
We had staffing issues a couple times a month.
Pros
Good Benefits, 401K matching Large company, many opportunities, Nice program to help employees in need created after all of the storms.
Cons
Being a large company trying to standardize too much over the past few years in my opinion. I liked
the culture better when there was more autonomy.
Pros
They have an excellent benefits package, friendly atmosphere, and flexible work hours. Overall it is a very stable company and the expectations of management are very consistent.
Cons
There is a limited upside to create a career path. There is no incentive bonus structure. There is little to no guidance on advancement opportunity in the company.
Advice to Senior Management
Reinstate bonuses, create clear pathways for advancement. Encourage managers to identify and submit employees as good candidates for promotion. Let people know they are valued rather than wait for them to leave for a better job.
