I worked at HCL Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Job security, lots of project, great time pass

    Cons

    1. you will spend 80% of your time on following processes 2. mostly support project, not much technical work for those who wants to go ahead with technical skills 3. All employees are managers by themselves

    Advice to Management

Great work in terms of politics

I have been working at HCL Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is good. When an individual has questions, there is someone available to answer the questions. The company promotes career growth.

    Cons

Organization planning needs improvement. On my first project didn't meet my supervisor/manager until 1 - 1 1/2 months later. Didn't have all the necessary help to get all the required software. Communication needs to be better.

    Advice to Management

Have supervisor for an entry level individual present immediately so that transition into the company can go smoothly. Better planning.

I have been working at HCL Technologies full-time

    Pros

Smart people, decent salary....can't think of anything much

    Cons

Company is overall awful - total lack of communication. Expectation from employees is never clear. Most managers lack respect for junior staff. HR and management is very bureaucratic. Minimal benefit

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better. Managers need to improve communication with staff

    Pros

    Pros

Diversity I have to fill in a minimum of 5 words, so this part is fluff.

    Cons

Management forces unreasonable expectations for you to fulfill for the client you work for. Guess who the client looks at for answers why it wasn't fulfilled? Being a Team Lead does not mean you lead your support staff in India. Never really found out what it truly meant, other than a title.

    Advice to Management

This goes for any employer. Talk with your technical staff about what can reasonably be accomplished. It's OK to push the bar higher when needed. When the bar is already too high for the staff on hand, pushing the bar higher makes technical people run, because they realize they can't attain what's being asked for.

  11. Resume filler, but not a long-term career

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Ability to work independently Good coworkers (mostly) Flexible hours

    Cons

Really bad internal applications No chance of promotion/raise Complete lack of accountability (if you're bad at your job, they just give your work to someone else) HR is pretty non-existent Overtime is expected

    Advice to Management

Hold your employees accountable for their mistakes rather than making someone else fix their work
