    I worked at HD Supply full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great co-workers, fast paced work. There is room for advancement, promote from within mentality. Management is open to listening to new ideas.

    Cons

    Benefits are good but could be better. Summer is the busy season so getting time off could be troublesome, you need to schedule it off at the beginning of the year.

    Advice to Management

    Upper management needs to spend more time in the field to get a better understanding how the market is acting.

    Great co workers that are passionate about the business

    Cons

    Used to be a great place to work. Since going public focus is on stock and the not the morale of the team. Benefits are sub par yet performance expectations thru the roof.

    Advice to Management

    Please bring passion of the associate to forefront and invest in better benefits

    Pros

    Good pay compared to similar jobs. Management is respectful and helpful, even when you're new. Paid and detailed training before you start work. They are not "too corporate".

    Cons

    Pay day is bi-weekly, this can either be a con or a pro depending on your preferences. I tried being promoted to Customer Service (working on the floor), but it seems like they believe women are not capable of doing a good job.

    Advice to Management

    Be more open to women taking on new jobs, other than the typical Cashier, Leader or front-end Manager.
