    Pros

Heineken USA is fast paced, challenging, welcoming and educational. Great connections are formed within the company and there is opportunity and encouragement to diversify within roles and within the organization, including eligibility for international opportunities with the right skill sets. There are always fun events open to employees including every Thursday Happy Hours at the bar in the Lobby and even opportunities to attend major events like the US Open, Coachella, and many more major brand events. The brands are fun, interesting and world renowned. From personal experience, I don't mind feeling overwhelmed from time to time because I love the brands, feel close to the people i work with, and feel a dedication not only to the company, and my coworkers, but really feel like part of the Heineken family. When someone is a good fit here, it is not uncommon for them to build and develop an entire career with vast and diverse experience.

    Cons

Expect to be stretched the majority of the time. As a relatively small organization withing the US, Heineken USA expects and demands a lot from its employees.

    Pros

Super smart and supportive management on the Heineken Americas team. They really empower you to do your best and are not overly directive.

    Cons

The business (in beer in general) is a tough market, so full time jobs are just sparse right now.

    Pros

Strong CEO & management team Amazing brands and therefore lots of fun experiences "Legendary" purpose unleashes memorable opportunities Global company opens up interesting travel and best practice sharing opps Emphasis on employees first before other stakeholders "Family" company feeling Many moments to step up and show your leadership capabilities "Challenger" mentality gives everyone at all levels a voice, encourages you to speak up Transparency mindset Fair pay & benefits

    Cons

Company continues to find the right balance between being a fun place to work and driving a performance culture. Much better on the performance dimension than years ago but still making progress. Also, the move from a single-brand company to a portfolio company has generated complexity. The company is working to simplify for the front-lines. It's better than it has been -- but it's still a journey.

    Advice to Management

Keep it simple. Drive clear agreement at the leadership team levels to make execution easier for the teams below.

    Pros

Free beer, nice people, great benefits, good location, opportunity to travel, interesting industry, opportunities to move within the company, generally good people to work with.

    Cons

Frustrating upper management and unfair treatment of workers during restructuring. Lack of communication, disorganization, recurring issues not addressed leading to repeated mistakes.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your workers. A more transparent management team that acts democratically will have more support from the people you depend on. Don't waste money on fancy meetings, funnel it back to the business instead and reinvest it in your workforce.

    Pros

Very educated, smart, talented employees; highly motivated and analytical mindset is shared by all departments. Generally, a collegial and friendly culture, quite cosmopolitan and diverse with the noticeable exception of a lack of African Americans. People work hard here, but work smart with a positive, healthy attitude.

    Cons

Hard work life balance, as non-work events (team building and promotional) are stressed and demanded. If you're not a drinker, do not even think of working here as embibing is encouraged and expected.

    Advice to Management

What's with all the offsite team building? Have you done any ROI analyses of these? For young adults (with children) this is a hardship.
