    Pros

People that work in the field are awesome, dedicated and hard working. Great portfolio of brands and programming.

    Cons

Management lack of focus on career pathing and development. Training and education is minimal. Lack of clear Leadership within Management.

    Advice to Management

Train managers to be Better People Managers, spend time in trade with direct reports. Monthly one on one's and career development need to be a focus and must be accounted for by Managers. Lack of feedback from Managers in the field.

    Pros

Part of a Large recognized Company, brings innovation, has culture and process to work

    Cons

Everything is complicated, for a small company too many layers..

    Advice to Management

Keep it simple.. too many new areas, silos all over , coordination is becoming imposible.

    Pros

Fun company to work for. Great culture, good benefits.

    Cons

Lack of opportunities to grow. Management hires from the outside inside of promoting within. Employees remain in the same role for years until they are either laid off or resign. Lots of restructuring and layoffs every couple of years. Workload is unrealistic and leads to working late nights and weekends.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate the people that work hard and are loyal to the company. Promote from within. Provide training where needed to help employees grow in their roles so they can move up in the organization.

    Pros

    Free Beer, Great Peers.
Used to be a great place.

    Cons

Company is changing in a negative direction.
Marketing and Sales do not see eye to eye.
    Unrealistic expectations.

    Advice to Management

So, in 2012, I was maxed out on bonus hitting all my goals. What did I get as a reward? Was put on a 90 Day Plan, all because my manager and I did not see eye to eye. Come to find out, half the people in our Zone Team were put on a plan. HR kept trying to push work/life balance, but anytime I took time off, it was very frowned upon. This used to beva great place to be with great people, but when the craft movement took over, expectation was to grow despite less consumer interest. Also, horrible marketing campains.

    Pros

    Strong CEO & management team
Amazing brands and therefore lots of fun experiences
    "Legendary" purpose unleashes memorable opportunities
Global company opens up interesting travel and best practice sharing opps
Emphasis on employees first before other stakeholders
    "Family" company feeling
Many moments to step up and show your leadership capabilities
"Challenger" mentality gives everyone at all levels a voice, encourages you to speak up
    Transparency mindset
    Fair pay & benefits

    Cons

Company continues to find the right balance between being a fun place to work and driving a performance culture. Much better on the performance dimension than years ago but still making progress. Also, the move from a single-brand company to a portfolio company has generated complexity. The company is working to simplify for the front-lines. It's better than it has been -- but it's still a journey.

    Advice to Management

Keep it simple. Drive clear agreement at the leadership team levels to make execution easier for the teams below.

    Pros

Peers and internal and external teams are great. Employees are allowed to work from home 1 day per week.

    Cons

Leadership has their heads in the clouds. They don't know or don't seem to care about realities of selling beer in the US market. Their focus is to keep peace with Global while looking over their shoulder for their next role. Salaries, raises and bonuses are all below average. So much work and so few people has lead to burnout and turnover.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people. Reward the people who have stayed with more generous salary increases or vacation days. Don't be afraid to have faith in your people and promote from within rather than always going to outside. Some recent outside hires have not fit in.

    Pros

Great company to work for, especially for a beer company. Very open and honest communication especially from the Management Team. They tell it like it is and don't fluff up the company image. Awesome benefits and competitive pay. Very much into training and certifications, and even promotions if you're the lucky few.

    Cons

Lots of movement within the company and lots of company reorgs can cause confusion of responsibilities. Some people let go that shouldn't be let go. Work loads tend to get ridiculous when there's a reorg.

    Advice to Management

if you're going to change, change for the better, not for what sounds good. Make sure that not only are the lower employees on board, but the middle managers as well, we're talking Directors and Senior Directors.

  10. Lack of appreciation and acknowledgement with decreased hope for advancement within.

    Pros

    Free Beer. Fun work place.

    Cons

False sense of career growth and opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Climate in the finance department is at it's all time low. Learn to appreciate your assets and provide fair opportunities for advancement and career growth.

    Pros

Perks are nice which include tickets to sports and concerts. Company is investing in necessary systems to bring the company into the 21st century.

    Cons

Office politics and standards vary from region to region, expectations are unattainable, there is absolutely no life/work balance even though the company pretends to address the issue.

    Advice to Management

too many people in the same position for too long, new ideas need to be heard and acted upon rather than staying stagnant
