    Pros

Everyone takes pride in their work, but also values the relationships that exist from person to person. Thus, it is an environment in which work is fun and the success you achieve seems even greater.

    Cons

Due to past organizational structure, some work was excessive and unnecessary, but new restructure could eliminate these problems.

    I worked at HUSCO International

    Pros

    Fair compensation
    Opportunity to excel
    Decent leadership and vision

    Cons

Tunnel vision on some folks abilities to take on additional tasks
The route to operations management runs through quality, if you haven't served in that role 'you can't run operations,' regardless of what your resume says.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be so tied into the loyalty to folks that did time in quality roles at your facility.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote personal growth and allow the young engineers to show there work and give them credit.

High tech products on cool applications...excavators, backhoes, automotive engines/transmissions...
Global business with opportunities to travel and live at locations in Europe, Asia and South America.

    Cons

Not a culture for everyone. Tough to succeed here without a lot of energy and competence.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at HUSCO International

    Pros

less accountability, high turnover, lack of loyalty, if you cant find a job anywhere else then you will find it here. easy to crack the interview,

    Cons

engineering department is a terrible place to work in and work with. no value for person to person relations. environment can turn hostile quickly as engineers are too technical and very headstrong,, management lacks vision. very normal to see VP of engineering solving hydraulic problems with engineers everyday . everyone looks for individual success. many quality issues
interns are asked to do lot of paperwork and non related work, many times interns work as technicians. I would recommend interns to look somewhere else.
Not a place for graduate students from purdue,GTech

I worked at HUSCO International full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

They keep the production floors really clean. There isn't any real accountability, anyone that is a good professional meeting attendee will do well here.

The family that owns the company is probably a pretty good group of people they give a lot of money to charity but the leadership in the automotive group is a group of really nasty, dishonest people. I'm sure if the owners actually understood the kind of culture that is forming they would make changes but they have been making too much money the last few years to even consider the fact there may be a problem.

    Cons

The culture will either burn you out or turn you into a really nasty person. They are a short term success story. I strongly urge anyone considering this place to look elsewhere. There are too many other good engineering jobs out there now to waste your time here.

the unofficial company motto is " lie cheat and steal as much as needed to make more money today".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

there is no use.... they wont listen..... maybe a couple years from now when they fall flat on their face as a result of their own arrogance.

    Pros

Family atmosphere. Employees able to contribute as much as they can handle. Private company (thankfully) missing the bureaucracy of larger public companies. Strongly committed to giving back and improving the local communities where facilities are.

    Cons

Sky high expectations, especially for key employees. Lack of global vision and process thinking causes inefficiency and frustration.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work for true global processes. It light years harder to be good disciplined 1 billion dollar global company than it was to be 100 million dollar one.
