I have been working at Halliburton full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Training opportunities are plenty. They try do protect their employees in downturns. Active and challenging working environment with no discrimination.

    Cons

Salary is lower than industry average. Altough still ber comparable to other service companies. Bonus amount is defined by revenue of that month. Not by the performance of the individual.

I have been working at Halliburton full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

In my experience at Halliburton, there are few things I'd consider to be "Pros." In fact, the only "Pro" that comes to mind is that I can now mention the company in my resume.

    Cons

Not a good place for young engineers to gain experience. Yes, the pay is decent, and yes, it is good to put on a resume, BUT you will leave with very little applicable job experience, which may limit your potential future earnings.

I have been working at Halliburton full-time

    Pros

There are lots of knowledgeable good people to work with. There are many opportunities to do various tasks which require a diverse skill set. There are jobs opportunities all over the world.

    Cons

Sometimes advancement is given based on favoritism instead of merit. Training is virtually nonexistent for certain positions. There are very experienced people who do not get the recognition and opportunities they deserve.

I have been working at Halliburton full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Halliburton is a great place to work. There are endless opportunities to move up in the organization. Senior management is excellent and understands what happens in the trenches. The company invests in its people and equipment.

    Cons

There can be some politics. Health plans have been stripped down some. You have to move around to move up, this isn't for everyone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue the push to ensure process assurance and keep investing in people and equipment.
