I worked at Hammond Manufacturing as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

The Distribution Center had a laid back atmosphere, with little need for micro-managing. Individuals knew their roles and were expected to work independently to accomplish tasks. The other employees made working there a lot of fun. If you demonstrate quality work, they will invite you to come back next year. Was presented with opportunities for growth and training the longer I worked there.

    Cons

Union policy would not allow summer students to work overtime. Repetitive tasks can become boring.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper Management should consider transitioning to a Just-In-Time logistical model in order to reduce the ever-growing inventory stocks that are expensive to warehouse. Also might consider removing extremely old stock from the warehouse to further reduce inventory.

I have been working at Hammond Manufacturing full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Quick place to make some ok cash. O.t. offered regularly. Human resources are dumb as stumps and don't know nothing about welding. So lying through my interview was soo easy

    Cons

This factory is pathetic!!! Full of druggies, whinners and babies. I've seen some pretty bad shops in my time but this one takes the.cake. No one there is C.W.B. but will gladly tell you they took a week course through the company at Lightspeed. Trust me this place is such a mickeymouse run Union shop it's embarrising. It's a great place too work if your a girl or a bi sex u al or a druggie but not if you enjoy working with metal, welding taking.pride in your work. This company deffienetly cators to this type of group. I found it very difficult to get anything accomplished there. Too much drama

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow a brain and start firing the.people that rip you off. Oh wait that's about 90% of your employees. Can't see you staying in business all that much longer
