ProsGood coworkers, strong growth, and open to new processes.

ConsUnstable process development still being figured out.

Advice to Senior ManagementFollow developed procedures. We spent many hours and individual time to set these up. Let's follow them!

Corruption is only growing within this bank.

    Human Resources (Former Employee)
    Gulfport, MS

ProsWorked with a great team. Was able to travel several times meeting with members of different regions in FL, LA, AL, and MS.

ConsLowest paying bank in the region.
Definitely a good ole boy system when it comes to promotions.
Becoming too big too fast and losing that personal touch.

Advice to Senior ManagementI truly don't think this matters. They are setting the company up to be bought out anyway. When Hancock Bank took over Whitney National Bank out of New Orleans they had to repay government bailout money. Sun Trust bank actually loaned Hancock the money. Makes perfect since for Sun Trust to now take over Hancock and expand into a new region making them around the size of Regions bank. Management is only looking out for themselves and waiting for that golden parachute.

    Not terrible, not great

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

    ProsWell established company, financially stable

ConsSome of the management choices really leave me scratching my head. In some cases, it seems as if incompetence is an asset and is highly rewarded.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake HR complaints seriously

Abuse of Employees to make executives larger salaries and bonuses

    Branch Manager (Former Employee)
    Tallahassee, FL

ProsNone really- lure you in with a retirement program that they pull the rug out on and pay out minimal amounts after 10 years.

ConsPoor judgement in assigning goals and responsibilities. They promise things and then don't deliver making excuses that things are changing. They want twice the work with no salary compensation saying profitability is down, but the pockets of those at the top keep taking more.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou are so far from the values you claim to have that you should be ashamed. You took advantage of an FDIC deal and then trashed the employees overworking them and then taking all the profits while cutting branches and staffing. What advertising or help did you give the area? Oh yeah, Bank at Work.....Managers had to tow around grills and cook hot dogs. Pretty sad that you leave a branch with one teller all by themselves, what if they were hauled off? No other employees except a mortgage lender with the door shut were visible. Only their two cars in the parking lot. Her door was shut. Scary place guys, you should sell and hang it up because you are ruining good people and claiming to be something you are not. You are purely profit driven and could care less about the community or your employees. Go greedy Senior Management! God will get you in the end for your greed.

    Interesting

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsFlexible and Convenient banking, especially since they have many locations are the earliest of banks to open and the latest to close in the area.

ConsManagement promises to up-train and hire from within but this never happens. Instead they hire from outside the company and claim these people have more experience when apparently they don't b/c they want the "underdogs" to train them.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake care of your loyal employees and they will take care of your customers. This mean increase salaries b/c you are asking for more time and over working employees without a fair compensation.

    Horrible

    Loan Officer (Current Employee)
    Tallahassee, FL

ProsNone really, but they have culled some of the truly horrible area managers out. However we have had so many in a short period of time that it is ridiculous.

ConsHorrible Management from the CEO's who could care less about the employees and only their 19% salary increases to the Regional Management who is never seen only heard about how bad you do. Local management is so overworked and not rewarded that it is criminal.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet out off your rears and see what your growth has done to the people doing all the work.

    Worst Bank Ever!

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsHmm nnn? They have nice looking banks and a very prestigious home office.

    Cons*treat their employees like crap.
*Lure you into the co pant with empty promises of advancement
    * Very poor managers. Only think of themselves - not their customers or employees.
    * highest fees in the banking industry
    * no free checki g accounts
*no empowerment from upper level management to grow
    * very high turnover rate
    * care nothing a out their customers
    * fake smiles and deceiving management
    * cut throat company

Advice to Senior ManagementYou do not deserve to be called "managers". You, "dinosaur-aged, overpaid, insecure scumbags need to learn how to use a fax machine - let alone, run a company!
