I worked at Hanesbrands part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Has potential to grow, especially with employees

    Cons

Not enough motivation, would rather close a store than help it

    Advice to Management

Be innovative, think of better solutions to helping the company expand and succeed.

I have been working at Hanesbrands part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people that you work with at Hanes Brands are wonderful. Each employee is willing to help you learn and grow. Customer service is prioritized. For part time there is also an option for a 401k which is not common.

    Cons

There not many cons. The main one is pay for part time sales associate. You start just above minimum wage and work up to 8.20 an hour this is not liveable wage. There is no health care or dental but this is expected of part time.

    Advice to Management

I would boost the sales associate pay to 9.40 an hour as the final maximum pay this way associates will only need a second job and won't get burned out by having 3.

I worked at Hanesbrands full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

a lot of great people to work with. nice work environment. flexible hours. summer hours- off on Friday.

    Cons

layoffs - do not expect to retire from this company. They used to keep employees until they could retire, but not any more. They now have "lean, mean, young" teams.

    Advice to Management

value your employees- don't just let them go because they are older.

I worked at Hanesbrands (Less than a year)

    Pros

They take care of their employees Everyone I interacted with is friendly You work with well known brands so the sell is easier because it is a well know/made product

    Cons

There is a tribal knowledge that is hard to tap into as a new employee Register system is very out of date. The checkout process would be more efficient if the registers were up to date.

I have been working at Hanesbrands full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great brands to work on, and marketing really drives the business. Summer hours make for long work days but the three-day weekend is nice. The campus is great, there's a free on-site health clinic, a small gym with group exercise classes, walking trails, and a cafe with breakfast and lunch.

    Cons

Old, outdated systems and a resistance to change from management keeps the company from being as productive or successful as it could be. New employees get very few vacation days (10 days, but effectively only 6) since they require you to reserve 4 for the week after Christmas, when the office is closed anyway.

    Advice to Management

    Embrace change!

    Pros

A good facility (Clarksville, AR 72830) with good management. I am proud to have had the opportunity to work there.

    Cons

Corporate should stand behind Facility Management and employees better.

    Advice to Management

Trust and believe in your lower management. Also, I think corporate management and plant management should give 2nd chances to employees like myself.

    Pros

competitive salary, good benefits with employee stock purchase plan and 401k, work/life balance was great, employee discount, company is growing and acquiring new companies.

    Cons

no bonus, minimal merit increases year over year, not a great office culture, company based in winston salem, NC and felt there was a disconnect between NYC office and NC office

    Advice to Management

continue doing what you are doing... tell great marketing stories and bring technology into the product platforms. diversify product offering with new introductions and make sure brands all have a reason for being

The company could be doing better if the strategic objectives could be translate in to the operational objectives. Too many "Short term decisions" to save the boat.
