    Pros

Great brands to work on, and marketing really drives the business. Summer hours make for long work days but the three-day weekend is nice. The campus is great, there's a free on-site health clinic, a small gym with group exercise classes, walking trails, and a cafe with breakfast and lunch.

    Cons

Old, outdated systems and a resistance to change from management keeps the company from being as productive or successful as it could be. New employees get very few vacation days (10 days, but effectively only 6) since they require you to reserve 4 for the week after Christmas, when the office is closed anyway.

    Advice to Management

    Embrace change!

  3. Good money and opportunity to grow

    Pros

There are opportunities to grow there you just have to stick it out and pick at a good pace when you get good orders.

    Cons

There is a high turnover rate and the work isn't always consistent. Some weeks may be shorter than other weeks.

    Advice to Management

Continue to listen to your employees needs and make fair decisions for everyone, not just certain shifts and give people a chance to prove themselves.

    Pros

A good facility (Clarksville, AR 72830) with good management. I am proud to have had the opportunity to work there.

    Cons

Corporate should stand behind Facility Management and employees better.

    Advice to Management

Trust and believe in your lower management. Also, I think corporate management and plant management should give 2nd chances to employees like myself.

    Pros

Brands are well known, product can be fun to work on. Summer hours (every Friday off) are nice on Fridays, though the other days are very long. Decent benefits. UW division seems to be much better at creating careers for the employees.

    Cons

Very much a good ole boy network where only the people related to or family friends of those at the top get the promotions, regardless of qualifications or ability---it used to be this was somewhat well hidden but it is pretty blatant and in the open now. If you don't have some connection to someone at the executive level, don't join the company----career won't get advanced no matter how well you perform. Activewear group in particular is a very bad place to work, with lower salaries, no career advancement, longer hours, and not enough employees to do the work. Most employees have very low morale and are looking to get out.

    Advice to Management

Create careers, not just for those that are your family and friends, but for the entire workforce. Base promotions and career advancement on success and qualifications, not on who is related to who or buddies with who.

    Advice to Management

continue doing what you are doing... tell great marketing stories and bring technology into the product platforms. diversify product offering with new introductions and make sure brands all have a reason for being

    Pros

Great benefits Good discounts and products Company is growing everyday

    Cons

None, of course we are going to work extra at times but you'll have that anywhere. I've worked for HBI for 10 years and have enjoyed it thoroughly. Especially my regional. It's a large company but it feels like a family.

    Advice to Management

You've come a long way, keep on going!

    Pros

    Great job and wonderful employees

    Cons

Bad Management, Awful hours for horrible pay, not concerned about the well being of their employees or loved ones, never enough work or too much work, cant prioritize their work load properly.

    Advice to Management

Prioritize your orders better and when they are dated to be out. Treat your employees with more respect and they would probably be more loyal to the company and stick around

Summer work schedule is four days a week. Good benefits.

    Cons

Middle management is scared to make decisions. Upper management does not communicate well and pay is not great.

    Advice to Management

Stop worrying more about the bottom line and eps then you do about your workforce.

    Pros

Growing company with great benefits, work environment, and people. Global footprint, via acquisition, which allows for broad experiences.

    Cons

Growing company pains such as constant deadlines, acquisitions, etc. located in a part of the country where people like to live, which means that turnover is very low.
