I worked at Hannon Security full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good pay compared to the same position with other companies. Full time positions available for all 3 shifts to fit any lifestyle.

    Cons

One of my biggest cons was how often I was moved around from account to account. When my first full time account decided to go with another security company I wasn't placed with another account full time for more than 6 months. I ended up being .5 hours a week under full time so I didn't receive benefits, but still had to work 5 days.

I have been working at Hannon Security full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

They have a good legitimate security company. They treat their employees really well by providing lots of training, support, and above average industry pay.

    Cons

None, my experience was all pretty positive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hiring quality officers it primary. Staying non-union is best, since the way your operate your company is better than how I was treated by members from a union trying to force you into union.

    Pros

good people to work with ( employees and some management ) , the parent company has been around for a long time .

    Cons

Hannon gives u more part time hours then full time , and it seemed as if they were losing accounts left and right .

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

make sure when u send a guard / officer that the job is a go - went to many a job site and they not even know i was coming to work there .

    I worked at Hannon Security

    Pros

Initial training process is great for new employees. The camaraderie within accounts was great. Some accounts and clients are fantastic to work for. Your mileage may vary.

    Cons

Clients are the driving force for your work environment. The lack of support from the office staff at the Bloomington office was shocking; even worse for field supervisors or managers. Office staff fails to communicate expectations to field management and staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend more time engaging your officers, less time assuming you understand the account and the difficulties. Many good employees have walked out the door due to the incompetencies of senior management. Just because you wear suit and polish your head doesn't mean anyone cares what you have to say if you don't take the time to actually listen.
