    Pros

Co-workers are fabulous and the pay is alright.

    Cons

The manager's are terrible! If you challenge management in any way they will fire you. They hand down unrealistic expectations to employees, while playing favorites to others. Its ridiculous how this company operates. The bottom line is that they have a revolving door policy. Management does NOT care about anything but you, the employee, keeping your head down and your mouth shut. (I was literally told that by a manager while I was an employee) And I will definitely say that corporate does NOT care. You report this to them and they back up the management staff, even after several complaints about bullying, targeting, retailiation, etc...
Oh and management requires people work when the office is on a holiday but you will NEVER see a manager there.

    Advice to Management

Upper Management should take a look at the branch offices and review their unit management staff. The Chief operator is never there, first of all. And secondly the unit managers are reviewed soley on their employees performance and not their own. This creates an "bullying" environment rather then an encouraging one. The managers constantly change procedures, so that employees are almost guaranteed to fail. This is to ensure that if they need to do job cuts they can. Maybe they should narrow it down to 1 manager to cover the whole office and the other 2 should be fired as thats about the amount of work they do. Well other then their bullying emails, threats, and useless meetings they have with the other managers. Oh and the countless smoke breaks the female managers go on with other members of "middle management". The place is a joke.

    Pros

Hanover has made considerable strides over the past five years towards breaking out of the regional carrier image. Salary is standard to the industry. The 401k match is better than the industry. Growth potential is good for people in the Future Leaders Program. The employees are very nice and are key to the success of the company.

    Cons

The systems are very challenging and require many work arounds. The work arounds are time consuming and do not improve or increase revenue.

    Advice to Management

Focus on substantive system upgrades to key systems. Workarounds are more costly in product and productivity.

    Pros

I honestly can't think of any. The best benefit is that they have a lunch room on site, which is nice. If you are one of their "chosen" few, you will advance rather quickly. Overall physical office is nice. Dry cleaning is available.

    Cons

Work environment, salary, benefits, micro managed, everyone is unhappy, growth, harassment from upper management. There were several occasions where I witnessed or was part of, being verbally abused in meetings with multiple people in the room. At one point, was told "Were you even paying attention?? That was a dumb question." Reported incidents to HR and were not handled, rather brushed under the rug.

    Advice to Management

Happy workers work more! Take care of your people.
