Great people and comfortable environment but not enough growth or transparency.

I have been working at Hansen Technologies

    Pros

Hosts Happy Hours, has a great health and medical plan, and is a comfortable work environment with good people.

    Cons

No structured guidance or training, poor salary rates, happy hours are difficult to attend, and really old code.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pair people for training, offer better salary, and try new technologies.

  2. Leadership Stinks as Bad as the Travel Policies/Budget they Impose

I have been working at Hansen Technologies full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers, technology, interesting work, salaries and office locations.

    Cons

The leadership from the executive team at Hansen really is terrible. Feels like I'm working for a middle-aged frat instead of business. The travel policies here are the worse I've seen. While we get put on the worst flights with multiple legs and get put up in mediocre, even sometimes sketchy hotels, the frat guys travel in style - even the COO who sets the policies. They can't seem to understand that it is not a privilege to be on the road away from family, friends and our workout routines. They should reward commitment to the company by treating us as good as they treat themselves... seriously

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Hansen Technologies full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Compensation, Benefits, International travel, Co-workers, Variety within role

    Cons

There is poor leadership at Hansen from the executive team. The CEO is loud, disrespectful, distrusting, unprofessional and moody. He likes to hear himself talk more than anyone else and doesn't trust his people to do what he hired them to do. The COO follows the CEO’s lead without question and is known for demeaning his employees and “showboating” his power. The rest of the executive leadership team is scared of the CEO, so they dismiss integrity and are known to throw their employees ‘under the bus’ to protect their own jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take leadership classes. Learn about professional business culture outside of your country. Learn to respect countries that contribute to your revenue. Appreciate your employees and consider the possibility that they may no more than you in their respective areas of expertise.
