    Understands customer, needs regulatory tailwinds

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) San Mateo, CA

ProsStrong domain expertise, develops good relationship with customers, big company benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k, sec125, decent vacation), opportunity to combine technology with green values

ConsOverdue salary reviews, stagnant market, difficult to attract talent in competitive SF Bay Area, employee turnover

Advice to Senior ManagementDevelop partnership with synergistic products. Note, this has been accomplished with sale to Verisae.

    Over Promise, Under Deliver

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) San Mateo, CA

ProsNew field so growth in the space is unlimited
    Mostly nice co-workers
They're trying to have some fun employee events

ConsMy manager does not understand my job yet tries to micromanage me and does not or will not listen
Was promised something when I started and now it's never been mentioned again (like I'm going to forget)
Poor direction from my immediate manager
    One really bad co-worker
Not a lot of support from other departments (this starts at the top with any company)
Trying to do too much with the product perhaps. Smells a little desperate

Advice to Senior ManagementHave cross manager meetings so that people can express frustration with their own manager with impunity, in case that person is incapable of listening or having a normal conversation. When you promise an employee something, either deliver it or have a conversation about it. Get all departments working together. Try to understand (really understand and care) what the interdependencies are between groups/job functions. If you bring someone on board, make sure that they have a clear understanding of what their job role is.

I know the cons I state are specific to me, but it's a small company and this kind of thing should only happen at a larger company (if it happens at all) One of the reasons to work at a small company is to not deal with this kind of BS. You infuse this kind of stuff and all of the cool reasons to work at a small company go away.

    Pros- great individual contributors
    - good facilities - kitchen, sofas and game room
    - good technology - flex, analytic tools

Cons- great individual contributors but lacked cohesion
    - a lot of bureaucracy (which seems to be going away now)
    - over confidence in the product

    Good, smart people

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGreat field, great people. The product holds great promise to revolutionize business at large companies. The client base is terrific.

ConsThe business is difficult and there's a lot of questions about how it will become profitable. This is the experience of every competitor in the space.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
