I have been working at Harborview Medical Center part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have experienced a lot from working for this company. This is a state governed hospital so please expect anything can happen out of the ordinary. Benefits are great along with flexible scheduling. If you are passionate about helping others then this is a place for you!

    Cons

-You can expect the unexpected when working here.

    Advice to Management

Nurse staffs (RN's, nurse's assistant, transporters, etc.) They need to be appreciated more than what they are now.

    Pros

The pros of working at Harborview are the excellent physicians and caring staff. The Harborview staff are there because they want to be and they thoroughly support the mission. I gained personal satisfaction by helping the patients who were very appreciative of the care that I set up for them.

    Cons

Huge work load with a supervisor/manager that did not support their employees requests for help to complete work.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, rather than impose initiatives that look good on paper.
