I worked at Hardin Memorial Hospital full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

This was a hospital that had strength and longevity of staff. Some excellent senior staff still remain.

    Cons

The focus has shifted from providing quality patient care to employee harassment by authoritative managers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management team needs to reevaluate their style of leadership. Adopting a transformational leadership style would not only benefit the satisfaction of employees (rather than the fear they feel now) but would also improve patient satisfaction and most importantly the quality of patient care.

I worked at Hardin Memorial Hospital full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Co-workers were friendly. Pay was decent. Parking is free but limited.

    Cons

I felt as if management may have been more concerned about appearances other than the true well-being of their employees. My manager was not someone I trusted and had a tendency to be rude. Parking is not the best, but at least it was free. Not a fan of semi-private rooms.

Great place to work. Management has open communication. Compensation is fair compared to Louisville.

I have been working at Hardin Memorial Hospital

    Pros

friendly environment, treat staff descent. David Gray is very nice and remembers everyone's name, from nurses to housekeeping.

    Cons

lower pay, since there is no competition in the area. With current loss in budget, we may never get another raise. Also I have seen staff fired for what appeared to be silly reasons, making you feel as if you have no job security.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think management does an ok job.
