    I worked at Harold's Stores

    Pros

Good employee discount, good benefits package. The stores are a fun place to work especially the stores that are not in Dallas, the management in the outlying areas of the country is much better than the inbred group that works close to the corporate environment. Harold's has a great legacy it is unfortunate that it is losing that with poor leadership.

    Cons

Very poor leadership, destroying the legacy of the brand. The fact that the owners chose to hire a hard lines merchant ot lead a fashion company. Obviously any retail environment has difficult hours to contend with.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is really no senior management left except Ron and his ego is certainly big enough to think he can handle all the positions. He has done a good job of surrounding himself with enough incompetent folks to make him look pretty good.
