Misguided leadership mixed with smart middle managers.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Atlantic City, NJ

ProsPlenty of eye candy and tons of stories to tell. Not much rewarding professional content to be had. Great place to put on your resume for large volume hotel and casino operations. For every day you're there, you're probably gaining at least twice the experience as a person in a similar role at a smaller or a nongaming property.

ConsNearly thankless. In 14 months, I've only started to get thanked for my efforts very recently. People are taken for granted and are treated as interchangeable parts. Supervision is inept and careless, but some managers are very solid.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't be idiots. It's real simple. Hire enough people to run the place as opposed to giving out return nights like candy because of bad experiences. If you eliminate the bad experiences, the people you hired pay for themselves.

It was a great place to work, now its like thier doing you a favor.

Supervisor (Current Employee) Atlantic City, NJ

    ProsThey are very strong financialy

ConsNo raise three years for supervisors and up, taking advantage of the people who com to work every day, taking advantage of the employees with the new vacation policy.

Advice to Senior ManagementPractice what you preach, you can't keep cutting and expect to give cutomer service, start treating your employees better so when the new casino open some one will stay.

    Food & Bevrage (Current Employee)

ProsFree food. It's a paycheck kind of job.

ConsWorking alone with no help due to layed off employees. Also, it's hard to do job when supplies are limited. Constant complaining by other employees about everything especially the FREE FOOD.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease SEE before you speak.
